We love us some state fair. Unfortunately, circumstances prevented us from going at the prime picture-taking time of dusk, so I had to fight a high sun and bald skies.<\/p>\n

I’m pretty sure the only reason Abby likes going to the fair is the bungee-jumping-trampoline thingys. We hit two different jumping installations and she had a ball.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We took an uneventful ride on the ferris wheel.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The show animals are my favorite part of the fair festivities, but Abby and Gina quickly tired of that nonsense. I didn’t even get to go in the swine barn or see the show chickens.<\/p>\n

I wonder what filling is, exactly.<\/p>\n

I’m also a big fan of fair food. I made a bad, bad mistake on my food selection, though. This was the worst Philly I’ve ever had. The slathered on the high-school-basketball-game nacho cheese before I could say anything. I’ve been told that this is the true Philly way, but I refuse to accept it.
