I read on the Internets that you don&#8217;t have to go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.anseladams.com\/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&amp;ProdID=1037\">Yosemite<\/a> to take great photos. I decided to find some shots, that if not great, were at least interesting within a few hundred yards of my front door. I didn&#8217;t even shoot any Abby pics.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dondailey.files.wordpress.com\/2008\/08\/dsc_1039blog.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[223]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/dondailey.files.wordpress.com\/2008\/08\/dsc_1039blog.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"299\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-241\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Hard to see in the pic, but the sign says the pool is closed &#8220;Due to draining the pool.&#8221; It would be nice to know why the pool was drained, at least. Was there a <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Baby_Ruth#Other_References\">Caddy Shack-type incident<\/a> involving a <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Image:Baby_Ruth_opened.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[223]\">Baby Ruth<\/a>? Who knows?<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dondailey.files.wordpress.com\/2008\/08\/dsc_1041.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[223]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/dondailey.files.wordpress.com\/2008\/08\/dsc_1041.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"299\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-242\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This potentially-death-dealing metal box is two feet from the sidewalk.
