A woodchuck or groundhog, if you prefer, has moved in under the shed. He comes out into the yard often, but he’s very shy. The slightest movement or noise sends him dashing back to his hole. He dug under the fence so now he’s roaming the neighbor’s yard, too. I don’t know what to. I’m thinking that if he decides to hibernate under the shed we can hold our own Groundhog Day ceremony in February. We’ll just have to find someone willing to crawl under the shed and force the animal out to check for the shadow.
Saturday afternoon we actually got Abby to have fun on the swings at the Johnson City Park. I was able to overcome my bout with what feels like malaria long enough to have some fun, too.
After the park, Gina and I took Abby over to Kurt and Shannon’s and left her there while we went to Bikes, Blues and BBQ on Dickson Street.
I had hoped to photograph many of the freaky types that the BBBBQ draws, but we spent over half the time waiting in line at the Hog Pen Barbecue trailer and another 20 minutes or so eating. Then we had to head back to get Abby.
I’m a longtime admirer of Hog Pen from my days in Conway, home of the restaurant. We each got the pork combo: sandwich, fries and Coke for 9 bucks each. Luckily we found this trailer tongue to use as a table.
We went to Bizy’s in Fayetteville for lunch Sunday. Abby calls it the pickle place because they have these big pickle slices on the hamburgers. We always order a little cup of extra pickles for Abby to eat.
I grabbed a shot of Old Main Saturday morning when I went to get my haircut.

I hope the UA doesn’t send a Cease and Desist and sue you for infringment.
😉
Yeah, some people get worked up when certain things are photographed and blogged.
Also,
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck would chuck wood?
