About the author
I’m recent graduate of the University of Central Arkansas with a degree in environmental science. I’m a former journalist who has just about done it all on the editorial side of the newspaper biz: reporter, editor, photographer. In central Arkansas, I was the managing editor at two small newspapers and a line editor at a medium sized paper. I moved to northwest Arkansas in 2004 to work for The Morning News. My last position there was web content manager. I gave up the newspaper work in November 2008 to make a career change.
Abby is my daughter. You’ll see a lot about her on my blog.
Gina is my wife. You’ll see a lot about her, too.
I kinda swore I would never blog, so this is how I’m going to justify it:
1. I’ve got a little kid and the relatives can keep up with her through my pithy writings.
2. I’m into photography and a blog is a cool way to show off and talk about f stops and shutter speeds and other stupid stuff. I take a lot of photos of the aforementioned kid and posting some of those will support justification #1. (I’ve also got a Flickr account, but it confuses some people.)
3. Everybody’s doing it.
Check out my online photography portfolio.
